Plot Summary:
Tensions run high as the group argues over their history, their past conflicts with Fredbear and Spring Bonnie, and their resentment toward the newer, plastic Toy models that replaced them. Amidst their bickering, Shadow Bonnie appears with a proposition: to resurrect Mangle, who has been left in a pile of spare parts after a brutal encounter with the volatile Grimm Foxy. To succeed, Bonnie and Foxy must infiltrate the main stage area, which is currently being terrorized by Grimm Foxy. During the mission, a heated confrontation breaks out between Grimm Foxy and Golden Freddy, eventually drawing in the Toy Freddy, who is caught in the crossfire of the supernatural power struggle between Grimm Foxy and Golden Freddy.
Shadow Bonnie successfully repairs Mangle by bridging her damaged circuits with his own shadow essence, effectively tethering her consciousness to survive beyond her broken casing. Once restored, Mangle is reunited with her friends, who vow to protect her and eventually seek vengeance against those who wronged them. The episode concludes with Golden Freddy preparing to depart for the present day of 2026. However, upon returning to the present day. His return is far from welcomed by Freddy and the others.
Trivia:
This episode sees Mangle return and gives Golden Freddy the knowledge he needs to fix Mangle.
This also reveals that all the episodes between The Origins and Broken but Alive were merely time travelling with Golden Freddy spending almost 27 years away from his family.
Grimm Foxy reveals that he is indestructible and that only Shadow Bonnie or Shadow Freddy can actually kill him. This reveals that Grimm Foxy survived the showdown in the Origins episode.
The name "Broken but Alive" is also the name of Scroll of the Dragon's musical album, "Broken but Alive".
