Grimm Foxy is an undead red fox, and brother of both Shadow Bonnie and Shadow Freddy. He took over the role of Puppet Foxy in 1980, after killing him. He speaks with a distinct German accent.

History:

Early Operations and Infiltration (1970–1980)

Created in 1970 by Shadow Freddy and appointed as his third-in-command, Grimm Foxy was sent to Fredbear's Family Diner in 1979 alongside Shadow Bonnie to orchestrate the destruction of the establishment. He spent time hiding in the shadows until 1980, when the original Puppet Foxy was temporarily removed from the stage for repairs.

Unbeknownst to most, the original Puppet Foxy had actually been ambushed by Shadow Bonnie, interrogated on behalf of Shadow Freddy, and ultimately beheaded by Grimm Foxy after refusing to cooperate. Grimm Foxy then assumed Puppet Foxy's identity as a disguise, using his own voice (masked as a broken voice box) since he could not replicate the original's voice. When the disguised Puppet Foxy returned to the stage, his demeanour shifted drastically—becoming withdrawn, protective, and passive-aggressive—which strained relations with Spring Bonnie.

Conflicts and the Fazbear Band Era (1983–1989)

By late 1983, following the retirement of Fredbear and Spring Bonnie, Puppet Foxy was relegated to the Prize Corner. Spring Bonnie, having grown deeply distrustful of him and possessing the ability to predict time, was eventually caught eavesdropping on a conversation between Grimm Foxy and Shadow Bonnie and was killed. Spring Bonnie was then placed under mind control for six months until mid-1984, when Fredbear helped him break the control, prompting Spring Bonnie to vow revenge.

Following an incident where Grimm Foxy and Shadow Bonnie were disciplined by Shadow Freddy in Belfast, Fazbear Entertainment rebranded the diner as "Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria" and introduced the Fazbear Band (Bonnie, Chica, Freddy Fazbear, and Foxy). Fredbear and Spring Bonnie allied with the new band to counter Grimm Foxy and Shadow Bonnie. In 1989, a coordinated surprise attack by Grimm Foxy, Shadow Bonnie, Shadow Freddy, Lolbit, Funtime Foxy, Phantom Foxy, and Phantom Freddy severely damaged the band. Operating under Shadow Freddy's control, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie destroyed the Fazbear Band, after which Fredbear regained his own control. Immediately following this, Spring Bonnie stabbed Fredbear in the back; Fredbear then put up a fight with Shadow Freddy before being killed by him. Following these events, the four Fazbear Band members were placed in Parts and Services, while Fredbear and Spring Bonnie were destroyed in the incinerator, and Grimm Foxy remained kept with the Toys.

The Toy Generation and Coup (1990–Present)

In 1990, Fazbear Entertainment introduced the Toy Animatronics. Grimm Foxy became widely respected by the Toys, save for Toy Foxy (Mangle), who favoured Shadow Bonnie and agreed to act as a double agent for the Withereds. Upon discovering her betrayal, Grimm Foxy murdered her. When he initiated a coup against Shadow Bonnie's leadership, he confessed to the murder, causing Shadow Freddy to sever all ties with him. Grimm Foxy subsequently took complete control of the building and the Toys, restricting Shadow Bonnie to areas past the Nightguard's Office.

Fredbear (now operating as Golden Freddy), the Withereds, a revived Mangle, and Shadow Bonnie launched a counter-offensive to dismantle Grimm Foxy's regime. During the raid, key Toy animatronics were eliminated, and after a series of intense conflicts, the surviving group escaped to Portobello, Edinburgh, establishing a new "Freddy's Family Diner."

Golden Freddy undertook a temporal journey from 1983 to 1999 to discover a method to permanently restore Mangle. Returning to the diner in 2026, he shared this knowledge with Freddy and Bonnie. With their help, Mangle was successfully restored with a fixed voice box. While the story seemingly concludes on a peaceful note, the final scene reveals a familiar Grimm Foxy hook, hinting that he survived.

Personality:

Grimm Foxy is a dangerous individual, he does not have patience or compassion for anyone. He is often there to carry out orders and enjoys slaying as well as controlling victims. He prefers to stay near the generators to be in his actual form. He maintains the Puppet Foxy costume when in the diner, to arouse suspicion. Though his real identity is revealed in Episode 3, Golden Legacy by Spring Bonnie. And Fredbear and the Fazbear Crew learn of his identity when they take over the diner. He has a tolerance to pain and is loyal to Shadow Freddy, he tolerates Shadow Bonnie but finds him at times annoying. Despite Toy Bonnie being his commander while Shadow Freddy is not present.

Physical Appearance:

Grimm Foxy’s animatronic chassis is heavily scorched and charred, defined by a deep, burnt crimson and charcoal-black aesthetic that reflects his fire-damaged nature. His structure is thinner and more ragged than other iterations, with visible endoskeleton components peeking through the singed, metallic exterior. He features his iconic pirate eyepatch, though it is heavily worn and singed, blending into his overall charred and fire-damaged appearance. He retains a functional but worn hand, complemented by his signature sharp, metallic hook. His feet are characterized by tattered, blackened metallic construction, consistent with the rest of his scorched frame and four toes on each foot. His jaw is permanently set in a menacing, wide grin that exposes rows of jagged, soot-stained teeth, and his eyes glow with a faint, smoldering orange light. Despite his appearance, he often utilizes a hunched posture and flickering light effects to stay in the shadows, appearing as a terrifying, fire-forged specter rather than the standard pirate mascot.
